Is gorilla trekking safe?

Yes, gorilla trekking is generally safe. Wild mountain gorillas are not dangerous as long as they feel calm and unthreatened. How much does gorilla trekking cost?

As of now, a one-hour gorilla trekking permit costs US$800 per person in Uganda and US$1,500 in Rwanda. If you’re after a longer, more immersive experience, you can opt for the four-hour gorilla habituation trek in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest, which also costs US$1,500.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter and worth every penny, but please note prices might change year to year.
