Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Chitwan Jungle

Your journey begins with a scenic drive or short flight from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan. On arrival, check in to your luxury jungle lodge and enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch using locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, head out on a guided walk through a nearby Tharu village, where you’ll learn about the traditions, architecture, and daily life of Chitwan’s indigenous Tharu community. As the day winds down, relax by the riverside or a nearby viewpoint and watch the sun dip below the jungle horizon. In the evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner featuring Nepali and Tharu specialities, followed by a beautiful Tharu stick dance performance.

Day 2: Explore Chitwan’s wildlife wonders

After breakfast, set out on a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River, keeping an eye out for waterbirds, crocodiles, and other riverine wildlife. This is followed by a guided jungle walk, where your expert guide will introduce you to the region’s diverse flora and fauna. Later, visit the Elephant Breeding Centre to learn about conservation efforts in Chitwan National Park. In the afternoon, choose between a gentle elephant-back safari or a jeep safari that takes you deeper into the park. Return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxed dinner and time to share stories from the day’s wildlife sightings.

Day 3: Experience Chitwan’s wildlife and relax in Sauraha

Start the day early with a jeep safari into Chitwan National Park, accompanied by your expert naturalist guide. Keep your eyes peeled for one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, wild boar, and a variety of birds and if you’re lucky, even the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then enjoy lunch and a relaxed afternoon at your own pace. Stroll through Sauraha, browse local handicrafts, or simply unwind at Sunset View Point. In the evening, finish the day with a relaxed dinner under the stars, reminiscing about your jungle adventures.
